Got Questions? Winning Technologies for Carriers, Brokers and Shippers

Q. The COVID-19 pandemic has thrust many into working remotely, with mixed results. How is EKA Solutions responding to this unprecedented upheaval?

A. Our platform was designed to and operates in the Cloud. The original reasons were:

1. Affordability
2. Scalability
3. The versatility required in supply chains
4. Data safety and security

We saw the expense, “clunkiness” and imminent obsolescence of many premise-based systems, and knew the future called for an Omni platform that served the needs of shippers and suppliers, as well as transportation service providers.

One of the challenges we encountered is the widespread use of agents by providers; so many were unable to provide visibility, or accountability. Our solution, enhanced by a single signon, made working remotely fluid, transparent, efficient, secure, and practical.

As many of our customers saw the benefits of accessing the best talent - hiring minds rather than displacing bodies - our continual upgrades made for easy conversion to our platform. We were also bringing our team together from disparate locations, and saw no need to lock into office space and other unnecessary expenses, so our team coalesced virtually to collaborate remotely.

There is no silver lining to a pandemic, and we hope, as all do, that the world responds to aggressively slow COVID’s spread, and eventually gain control of the coronavirus. In the meantime, we are helping many firms to “tech-up” onto the EKA platform, and continue to find success remotely. These efforts include easily-scheduled demos, as well as expedited on-boarding as needed. Further, for continued leading performance, we continue our commitment to our assertive schedule of platform enhancements every two weeks.

Q. I manage a small trucking company. Most of our drivers use Smart-phones, but they’re not keen about load boards, and given a choice between more pay or more technology, I’m sure they’ll opt for cash. What’s the relevance of technology to me?

Pardon my phrase, but you sent me a truckload of things to unpack just now; much appreciated. But, here’s the funny thing: we all believe our situations are unique, but there are usually a lot of common themes, and we’re often just singing different variations. So, let’s take a look at where your shoes are pointing and see if we can find a clear path forward...
