Anthym Logistics is a new third-party logistics firm that was formed as a product of Chicago-based Atomic Transportation and Florida-based Cousins Logistics.

The Tampa, Florida –based Anthym Logistics calls itself a tech-enabled, people-centric firm, specializing in truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, refrigerated and flatbed freight, as well as managed transportation services.

The company will be headed by Eddie Leshin as the chief executive officer, a 30-year veteran of the logistics industry who in the past worked for C.H. Robinson, Coyote Logistics and American Backhaulers.

Atomic Transportation head Michael Redisch will serve as Anthym’s chief strategy officer and Cousins Logistics founder Dan Brauser will be the new company’s president.

“Everybody is moving fast toward technology, especially in the logistics industry,” Leshin says. “But we want to focus on the people—the drivers, dock workers, transportation managers, supply chain executives, employees of Anthym, and beyond. We want to put the emphasis back on the people, because it’s people who make businesses happen and it’s the people who create, implement, and drive technology innovation.”
