A. The FREEDOM XC 2000 inverter/charger is not capable of directly monitoring battery temperature. However, it is possible to configure the FREEDOM XC to start and stop charging your lithium ion batteries by adding a thermostat at the battery. This thermostat may be powered by the positive terminal of the battery and then its output connected to the accessory (ACC) input of the FREEDOM XC. You can then set the charger control parameter (26) on the FREEDOM XC (either at the onboard or remote display panel) to trigger charging based on the temperature value you enter.
