The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) held it's annual "Spot the Retread" contest at the Mid-America Trucking Show. This year's winner is a future trucker, not even old enough for her commercial driver's license (CDL).

This year, TRIB also had its first-ever perfect score. With an intrepid eye and a strategy of asking a lot of questions, the next-generation representative of Worthington Trucking correctly identified every new and retreaded tire in TRIB's contest, according to TRIB.

Tire retreading is a process that bonds a new tire to a refurbished tire body, or casing. Today, according to Bridgestone, 90% of large fleets practice retreading. TRIB works to continue to educate fleets and the public on the safety and value of tire retreading.
