Meritor announced expansions to its aftermarket lines in air disc brakes, king pins, and suspensions during Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week Jan. 29 in Las Vegas, including changes to make products easier to find on its e-commerce site.

Expanded Air Disc Brake Aftermarket Line

Meritor’s expanded air disc brake aftermarket portfolio includes a new caliper and additional brake pad offerings.

The new remanufactured caliper for the ADB22x application enhances a portfolio that includes calipers for SN7 and SB7 applications. The additional brake pads expand the overall value lineup coverage to 10 applications.

The ADB22x calipers, now available, are completely remanufactured to exact tolerances at Meritor's Plainfield, Indiana, facility and fit multiple line-haul, trailer and severe-duty applications. Each caliper is torn down and cleaned, then remanufactured to deliver performance and service life without the costs associated with a new component. Parts are inspected and tested to make sure they can be qualified to exact specifications.

The additional air disc brake pads, planned for availability in March, expand a value pad lineup. Meritor friction material meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 121 dynamometer specifications. Composed of Level N material, the pads contain less than 0.5% copper, making them compliant with the 2025 Regulations. This feature allows fleets to avoid multiple friction changes as manufacturers move from Level A material to B and then from Level B to N.

The brake pads and calipers, available at www.MeritorPartsXpress.com, are backed by Meritor's standard, nationwide one-year parts warranty.

ReadySet King Pin Kits

Meritor is making it easier for customers to replace king pins with the launch of ReadySet No-Ream King Pin Kits on MeritorPartsXpress.com to help customers more easily find a king pin kit for major axle applications.

“With this new launch supported by easier search functionality on MPX for king pins, we now offer a full portfolio covering multiple pin diameters and lengths for fleets requiring quick maintenance,” said Joe Ghering, senior manager, steering and suspension for Meritor.

ReadySet with pre-sized is offered under the Meritor aftermarket brand and fits a range of axle applications from various manufacturers. The no-ream bushing is a cost-effective option that saves labor over conventional bushing kits that require reaming and is easily installed, according to Meritor.

With the kit, king pin bushings do not need to be reamed after they are installed into the steering knuckle, which saves labor, time and equipment costs. Instead of pressing in the bushings, customers can use applicable bushing drivers for easy installation.

With the addition of the ReadySet line to Meritor's king pin portfolio, Meritor says now has a complete offering that meets multiple price point requirements and covers 95% of the market for ream and no-ream applications.

Meritor is making it easier for customers to identify and purchase king pins by adding Xact Search functionality to MPX. Previously, customers had to know which kit fit their application or call Meritor for technical assistance. Now, customers can identify the right king pin by entering make, model, year, and axle manufacturer into the search fields and will see all Meritor's kits with different bushing offerings for the axle, regardless of original manufacturer.

OEM Suspension Portfolio

Meritor also announced a planned expansion of its OEM suspension portfolio under its Euclid brand to include more than 1,450 parts covering multiple applications.
