McLeod Software launched a new mobile app for PowerBroker users that offers several capabilities that the company brought to its Driver App for Loadmaster, plus new capabilities that support digital freight matching.

The McLeod Carrier Mobile app provides load tracking capabilities for brokerage loads and adds a new layer of capabilities to it.

For example, drivers can use a smartphone to snap pictures and upload documents and through the Carrier Mobile App, documents are automatically doc typed to identify what they are and indexed automatically against the load the carrier is on.

The app displays load settlement information for drivers or back office staff. A driver can initiate an OS&D claim and set off the OS&D process management in PowerBroker and the driver can furnish pictures that are added to the claim documentation.

Other features include:

  • Carriers and drivers can communicate their future load/lane preferences back to the broker.
  • Carriers can post other available tractors for the broker to view.
  • A carrier can maintain an equipment profile for the broker, offering records of the carrier’s capabilities.
  • Drivers can initiate manual check calls or set up automated interval check calls.
  • The broker, carrier, and driver can all send mobile messages through the app.
  • SMS text messaging can be integrated.
  • Signature Capture capability is included for the load.
