Daimler Trucks North America is voluntarily recalling certain 2019 Freightliner Cascadia trucks equipped with defective Continental Hybrid HS3 tires where the tire cords may be visible through the inner liner.

DTNA will notify the affected Cascadia owners about the recall, which could affect 425 trucks. The recalled vehicles will be inspected and tires will be replaced if necessary free of charge. The problem was found on trucks with Continental Hybrid HS3 11R22.5 Load Range G tires and could cause the affected tires to suddenly lose air and risk a driver losing control of the vehicle.

Repairs will be performed by Continental Tire The Americas’ authorized service facilities. DTNA plans to notify owners and dealers of the recall by mail on Sept. 15, 2018.
