Barr-Nunn Transportation announced that it has increased pay and benefits for all of its company drivers a total of 28 times in 2018.

Raises have brought starting pay rates as high as 60 cents per practical mile for solo over-the-road drivers and 81 cents per practical mile for teams. Regional drivers can earn a starting pay rate of 56 cents per practical mile in the Northeast and 54 cents per practical mile in Barr-Nunn’s Ohio and Virginia fleets.

The company also offers bonus programs, such as its CSA Safety Bonus, that all company drives are able to earn every 90 days. The program pays $825 per driver for teams and $725 for solo drivers with paid time off as well. They can also earn detention, layover, and stop pay. There is also a free rider program for all company drivers.

“The company is eager to ensure we stay at the top of driver wages," said Jeff Blank, Barr-Nunn's director of recruiting. "With all our recent pay raises, 100% no touch freight, Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance, and the fastest pay raises in the industry we believe we are continuing to provide our company drivers with a superior pay and benefits program and they deserve nothing less."
