The California Trucking Association has launched a program designed exclusively for small fleet owners. CTA says the new Small Fleet Program helps small carriers compete by offering a broad range of member resources that companies can use to strengthen their compliance, advocacy, safety, and leadership efforts.

“We know from a recent member survey that the needs of the small fleet owner are unique,” said Dana Brooks, vice president of membership and business development for CTA.

CTA’s Legal Resource Center allows operators to consult with CTA’s team of skilled legal partners on a broad range of legal issues and questions. Members receive up to 15 minutes a month of free legal advice and guidance.

The CTA Compliance Help Desk is the free “go to” resource for staying abreast of compliance issues and clarifying regulatory information. Staff is available to speak to topics such as electronic logging devices, hours of service, terminal access procedures, DOT drug and alcohol regulations, driver qualification requirements, and truck weight/route axles/length limits.

CTA’s Commercial Title and Registration Services make it easier for small fleet owners to ensure that their vehicles are registered accurately and legally. CTA’s trained team can process commercial transactions and respond to questions regarding the Department of Motor Vehicles and vehicle registration.

CTA’s Big-Impact Training, available through the Small Fleet Program, offers options for getting top-tier training economically, such as discounted training on demand on topics such as workplace safety, hazmat, human resources, and legal issues, training through the CTA’s Leadership Academy, in-person training, or topical webinars.

Insider’s Insights for Members Only: CTA’s Government Affairs keeps members current on legislative issues and changes. Policy Committees address legislative and regulatory activities. Daily, weekly and bimonthly online publications keep small fleet owners and their staff in the know about these issues.

The Small Fleet Program also provides CTA member discounts on trucking products and supplies.
