Meritor has added a self-adjusted 15.5-inch model to its Euclid line of aftermarket clutches for medium and heavy-duty trucks.

The new clutch includes 15.5- x 2-inch models with seven springs or nine springs in four- and six-paddle options. All units are new with no core charge.

“The self-adjusting model helps round out our Euclid clutch portfolio by offering more options to end users, especially those looking to avoid manual clutch adjustments,” said Jessica Sendelbach, product manager, drivetrain for Meritor. “The new unit is technician- friendly and offers ease of installation while eliminating the downtime typically associated with regular clutch adjustments.”

The self-adjusting model includes over-adjustment prevention technology and an Actively Expanding Seal to provide anti-contamination enclosure. It also features self-locking worm gear to ensure positive adjustment.

Installation employs the same procedure used for installing manually adjusted clutches and has a simple reset feature that does not require clutch removal.

On the new model, Meritor offers customers a 24-month, unlimited mileage warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Customers can purchase it from warehouse distributors stocking Euclid-branded parts.
