Nashville-based BOLT, a provider of cloud-based dispatching applications, recently introduced BOLT Atlas, a mapping application that combines a fleet’s customer, dispatch and routing data with telematics, elog, navigation and other information to present fleet managers and dispatchers a visual display of their trucks.

The application displays “breadcrumbs” of planned vs. actual routes, drivers’ available hours and unassigned/open loads along a route. The application can display a single truck or all trucks within a group or terminal.

The company says the telematics and HOS information can help dispatchers determine the best truck and driver to assign to open loads within their area and that managers can use the application to review how well specific routes are performing. Atlas also sends alerts when trucks exceed a specified speed limit and tracks how long drivers are at each stop.

The software is offered as a subscription service with a monthly per-truck charge.
