The new WorkStar Pocket Floodlight from Maxxeon features an advanced LED that produces over 140 lumens of light. This advanced technology means that the light produces over ten times the amount of light produced by an incandescent light bulb using the same current.

The wide-angle, floodlight-style beam pattern produced by the light is said to be completely clear and free from dark spots or hot spots. The intense white beam is designed to make it easy for the user to clearly see his inspection area, and is most effective at a range of six inches to three feet.

These pen light-style lighting tools are compact and light weight, and clip into a pocket, to be easily available when needed. These lights are powered by three AAA batteries and are available in three finishes:

  • Black Type II Anodizing - Product Number MXN00320
  • Realtree AP Camo – Product Number MXN00330
  • Imitation Carbon Fiber - Product Number MXN00340

The WorkStar LED Pocket Floodlight is designed for daily use in a demanding shop, manufacturing, maintenance and outdoor environments. The high output LED is rated for a service life of approximately 50,000 hours.

The T6 aluminum body is anodized black and according to the manufacturer is virtually indestructible and all threaded joints have rubber O-ring seals so it is water resistant. The tail cap switch is rated at 100,000 cycles and is sealed to avoid contamination by dirt and grit.

In addition, the switch has the standard ON/OFF operation, plus a handy momentary action position. The Realtree AP Camo coated version has a fluorescent tail cap switch that glows in the dark.

Batteries are included and it carries a one year over-the-counter replacement warranty. Depending on the body finish, it sells for between $35 and $45 and can be purchased from most tire supply dealers, mobile tool dealers and auto parts stores.
