Got Questions? ELDs and Telematics

January 16, 2018

Q. I haul gas locally within 150 mile radius and go home every night. Do we have to have electronic logs?

A. You may be exempt if you remain within 150 air miles of your home location. This is sometimes known as the 150 mile exemption. You can find details on it from the FMCSA under CFR 395.1 Visit the FMCSA website or contact your local DOT department for more information on your specific ELD requirements.
