Cole Hersee, the commercial vehicle products division of Littelfuse Inc., has introduced the latest product in its 95060 series of sealed rotary switches: a new, weather-sealed reversing switch.

The 95060-37 reversing switch, an aftermarket replacement ignition switch appropriate for an auxiliary power unit used on heavy-duty trucks, stands up to corrosion much better than older, metal models with similar functionality because it's constructed with engineering thermoplastic.

The switch is sealed to IP67 standards for resistance to rough weather, roadsplash and other harsh conditions. Because the switch is more resistant to breaks or corrosion, on-vehicle motors relying on the 95060-37 are likely to face less downtime and related costs as a result of switch failure, the company says.

For security purposes, the UL-recognized 95060-37 is supplied with two matching, double-bitted tumbler keys. It also comes equipped with an integral Deutsch connector that provides ease of installation while maintaining the switch's weather seal.

The 95060-37 provides the same three-position functionality as similar on-vehicle models: reverse, off and forward. It is available in 10A at 12V, 5A at 24V, 3A at 36V, or 2A at 48V.
