To help manage the risks associated with large trucking claims, Crawford & Company, a provider of claims management solutions, has established a new product team that focuses on high-value transportation claims.

The new four-member product team is headed by Mark Killion, transportation product manager, who has a decade of experience in handling casualty claims. Product specialists on the team are notified about and review every transportation file and provide technical guidance to adjusters at the beginning and throughout the claims process.

Killion, who has spent his career with Crawford, began as an outside casualty adjuster and later served as a supervisor, team manager and branch manager in Ohio and Michigan before relocating to Crawford's Atlanta headquarters to lead the transportation team.

Killion has earned Associate in Claims, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Property Technical Certification designations. He received a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and also attended law school before entering the insurance industry.

Crawford's nationwide Vehicle Services include damage appraisals and condition inspections for a variety of vehicles, an extensive managed repair network and towing services. As part of its recent expansion of vehicle claim services, the Company also launched a centralized claims center, Vehicle Services Connection, for 24/7 claims intake, damage assessment and oversight of complex losses.
