Utility Trailer Manufacturing now uses 100 percent LED lighting on all its refrigerated and dry van trailers as well as tandem and tridem axle flatbeds.
Developed by Grote Industries, a new LED flashing marker light also functions as a side turn light. Up until now, LED turn signal lights in the mid-trailer position generally provided rearward illumination only. A new lens design also provides visibility both forward and backward.
The new LED light meets both federal and California regulations for mid-trailer flashing lights. Completing the transition to all LED lights also includes changing the license plate light to LED.
The 100 percent LED lighting will be showcased on Utility's 4000D-X Composite dry van and the 3000R refrigerated trailer at this year's Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., from March 31 to April 2.
