Smith System, a fleet driver safety training organization, will offer a DOT Compliance Seminar Series, which will cover the Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010 and the Safety Measurement System.

The Series is formatted as an interactive two-day conference covering the details of CSA 2010 requirements and best practices for accident reporting, record keeping, driver qualification, hours of service, controlled substances and alcohol testing, CDL requirements, driving rules and maintenance.

"The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has made it very clear that they intend to increase the frequency of fleet reviews and roadside inspections," said Frank Powers, senior vice president of sales and marketing. "We want to help fleets be prepared for the new requirements of the Carrier Safety Measurement System and assist in making trucking safer in the process."

Smith System will conduct 13 of its DOT Compliance Seminars starting in August and running through December 2010.
