Trident Industries in Farmingville, N.Y., has rolled out its new Load Status Indicator, LSI-55, a new pilot light that can be used for critical engine controls, navigational safety lights, HVAC controls, and train signaling lights.

The LSI provides a way to determine if a load is active by the current it draws, the company says. It's designed for applications that require a confirmation of whether a device is operational or not, that cannot be directly observable.

The LSI will turn green if power is available and determine if the load is active. When the load current is greater than 1 amp, it will turn red. The LSI requires 10mA to operate.
