Spatco DEF has added a secondary containment feature to its Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tote Storage Enclosure System, which it says is an industry first.

Secondary containment is required for the storage of all regulated hazardous materials. While diesel exhaust fluid is not considered a hazardous liquid by the EPA, this containment option will be a benefit to those customers concerned with ground and water contamination.

"It was critical to our customer that the equipment they installed have secondary containment. The 330 gallon Tote Enclosure from Spatco DEF met the customer's specs while maintaining product integrity during Iowa winters," says Tad Cooper, executive vice president, Acterra Group.

All Spatco DEF Enclosure Systems are designed in accordance with the EPA's Aboveground Storage Tank guidelines.
