Snap-on Tools has developed a new Digital Image Capturing Borescope, designed to inspect in hard to reach places and diagnose problems more accurately and quickly.

According to the company, the borescope can help technicians get into tough places, such as cylinder bores and valves through the spark plug hole, inside door and body panels and under the dash. The device also helps in locating fluid leaks without a direct line of sight.

With a 3.5-inch display and multi-language interface, the Digital Borescope records and plays back still images and video clips, which can be uploaded via a mini USB connector. Featuring 2x digital zoom, the device also comes with a SDHC card slot for saving images and videos on SD cards. An audio input jack allows for recording comments with an optional ear bud and microphone attachment.

It's powered by a removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, and can run while charging the battery. The Digital Borescope is backed by a two-year warranty.
