Truck-Lite has created an LED license lamp that is the size of a penny.
The 33 Series lamp features white diode technology.
"More and more customers are looking to LED lighting for the extended lamp life and overall cost savings," said Jay Davenport, national sales director. "This single diode license lamp's low profile minimizes physical damage, typical for this application and gives off less heat to avoid issues that stem from heat entrapment."
Manufactured out of polycarbonate, the 12-volt lamp does not require a bracket and can be installed directly into the vehicle. The lamp requires a 1-3/16-inch mounting hole and exceeds the legal requirements when properly mounted. Its small size makes it more resistant to damage and prevents theft, the company says.
