DriverTech, the in-vehicle computing software developer, has made several improvements to its Core Mobile Software, including a single driver login capability, an added security feature and new applications.


Version 4.26 now features a single driver login capability that can be integrated with third party applications. The new system also sends an e-mail if vehicle movement is detected when a driver is not logged on. DriverTech also improved the End of Day Rollup, which now sends data from each TruckPC such as information on drivers, vehicles and the amount of cellular and Wi-fi usage.

DriverTech also added new applications, including a new version of the DTScan In-Cab Scanning solution, which is now makes it easier for users to view, zoom and pan scanned documents. A new suite of eLog applications adds to the accuracy of driver logs, allows drivers to e-mail or fax log information and improves the ease of complying with Hours of Service regulations, DriverTech says.

"Along with the ongoing development of our DT4000 TruckPC hardware, now in its third version, we have learned what works best for our customers and have continually refined our software. This latest version of our Core Mobile Software based on the Windows Embedded Standard 2009 operating system is designed specifically to meet their needs," said Mark Haslam, CEO.

Version 4.26 is available to fleets using DriverTech DT4000 units via over the air programming. DriverTech designs and builds the DT4000 system, which is an open, Windows Embedded Standard 2009-based, onboard computer system for vehicles. DriverTech designed the first Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard onboard computer system with three modes of communication, according to the company.
