The Decisiv Service Management Platform has been integrated with eParts, the Internet-based catalog for Detroit Diesel engine information.

The latest integration continues the expansion of features and capabilities in the DSMP, providing Detroit Diesel and Freightliner Trucks service locations with fast and easy access to comprehensive parts content for truck engines.

"The Decisiv Service Management Platform in use at Detroit Diesel and Freightliner Trucks service locations is now enhanced by the addition of real time access to Detroit Diesel's eParts," said Dick Hyatt, president of Decisiv. "This new capability enables a growing number of service location subscribers to build repair estimates for Detroit Diesel engines faster and with greater accuracy."

The integration of the Detroit Diesel eParts Catalog is an example of how Decisiv is moving forward to add new partners and sources of in-context information from component manufacturers. This latest example covers the manufacturer's Series 60 models. The Decisiv platform determines the unique engine serial number and uses it to navigate the user to the appropriate location in eParts. Part information can then be transferred to the Decisiv estimate and presented to the customer for review and approval.

Developed over the past seven years, the Decisiv Service Management Platform provides a common and consistent service initiation and write-up process and eliminates the need to log into separate systems and open separate windows when a truck equipped with a Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine arrives at an authorized service location.

In addition to faster in-context access to source information, the Decisiv platform provides a communications bridge between service location subscribers and their customers streamlining the service initiation, review and approval process. Decisiv Service Management System subscribers benefit by providing their customers with increased asset utilization, reduced downtime and improved repair quality.

The Decisiv Service Management Platform, currently in use by about one third of the OE dealer and distributer community as well as an increasing number of Fleets, is revolutionizing customer relationships and streamlining the fleet-dealer service management process.
