LabelMaster, Chicago, and Instructional Technologies of Vancouver, Wash., launched a multi-media, online hazmat fleet training program in the United States that meets federal re-certification training requirements.
The training is 100 percent Internet-based, making training easily tracked by managers. It uses "mastery-level" scoring, where a driver must answer all questions correctly before moving on in a lesson, assuring comprehension. When all lessons have been completed, a certificate of training will be issued in the driver's name.
The material is a mix of practical exercises and a review of the reasons for company security plans. Every training set meets all the training requirements under CFR 49 Parts 172.700 - 172.704.
The training follows ITI's successful and widely accepted Pro-Tread format and consists of four lessons:
• Hazmat Security Awareness
• Driving and Parking Rules
• Communication Rules
• Loading and Placarding
The product will be marketed and sold by Labelmaster under the name Online Transportation Training.
