Paragon Software launched the latest version of its advanced transport solution, with a number of improvements to the Planning and Paragon Live modules.

Version 6.0 will be the first Paragon system to feature the planning tool Route Control, which helps reduce the impact of time-sensitive route restrictions on routing and scheduling. Route Control will allow users to build routes that comply with time and day-related local, state and national regulations, as well as road closures that result from major public events. This will help cut time spent on manual planning, avoid unnecessary delays and lower the risk of fines.

“Version 6.0 includes more than 60 enhancements to address the evolving challenges that our customers face," said William Salter, CEO and president of Paragon Software Systems.

The Paragon Live module has also been updated with an auto-correction tool. It will refine the exact positions of delivery locations, based on actual tracking events, to automatically improve the accuracy of plans and arrival times communicated to customers.

Paragon has also increased the number of telematics systems that the software interfaces with.

Users of Paragon Live that already track planned versus actual transport performance will now be able to benefit from additional reporting functionality. KPIs such as the percentage of deliveries on time can be shared across the business with a new automated report generation tool. This will provide immediate visibility of performance data beyond the transport office, as well as streamlining back-office functions.
