Alternative fuel truck and fuel system manufacturer Greenkraft is now offering fully automatic Allison Transmissions on its medium-duty trucks.

The first line of trucks with Allison Transmissions is available in GVWRs of 19,500 to 26,000 pounds with other versions in development for trucks of up to 33,000 pounds GVWR.

Greenkraft said that the Allison Transmissions can reduce life cycle costs of the vehicles, including the price, fuel and preventive maintenance. The transmission can also lead to increased driver retention, offering more precise, safer handling and improved comfort while reducing driver fatigue and keeping attention on the road.

Greenkraft’s commercial trucks are powered by alternative fuels like compressed natural gas and propane autogas in Class 3-7 applications.
