ASF Intermodal has expanded into the Baltimore, Md., market with a new intermodal drayage terminal, the company announced.

The new location, which is the company’s first Maryland terminal, joins 13 other strategically-positioned terminals throughout the South and Midwest.

“Baltimore is an area that we have been interested in for some time,” said Michael Smith, ASF Intermodal president. “With its positioning on the Atlantic in proximity to the Midwest and just a day’s drive away from 1/3 of the U.S. population, Baltimore is an ideal strategic fit for our regional network.”

The new location will have three employees and around 30 drivers with plans for further expansion. The facility will operate 30 trucks at the location within the first 12 months.

Gene Burgee serves as terminal manager for the Baltimore terminal, which is located at 4800 East Lombard Street. For more information, click here.
