Cardless fuel purchasing company QuikQ has announced that trucking industry veteran Tamara Wilson has been brought on as the company’s director of operations.

Wilson is tasked with managing day to day activities and has additional responsibilities in business and product development, business analysis and quality assurance.

“Tamara Wilson’s background is a perfect fit for QuikQ as we continue to move forward with the next stages of development of our FPS Fuel Purchase System and other related solutions,” said Ernie Betancourt, president of QuikQ. “Her IT, operations, software and management experience will be a great benefit to QuikQ and its growing customer base.”

Wilson has held various trucking industry executive positions since 1981 and most recently served at MPH Transportation as vice president operations. She was also previously a vice president at Gainey Transportation, director of IT at SLH Transportation, and national account manager at Innovative Computing Corp.

“Managing fuel purchasing is a challenge for the trucking industry as it addresses tight margins, fuel costs and the introduction of new fuels,” said Wilson. “QuikQ is a forward-thinking company that offers a new, more secure and universal way for carriers to streamline and control fuel purchases by creating a direct relationship with providers regardless of what the future holds.”

QuikQ is a software development company that creates and develops fuel transaction processing solutions for carriers and truck stops. The QuikQ Fuel Purchase System is designed to manage entire fuel transaction through real-time direct connectivity.
