Peterbilt handed out Dealer of the Year awards in several categories at its annual dealer meeting, held recently in San Diego. Calif.

The truck builder gave out awards for North American Dealer of the Year, Medium-Duty Dealer of the Year, MX Engine Dealer of the Year, TRP Dealer of the Year and North American Parts and Service Dealer of the Year.

The Larson Group was named Peterbilt’s 2015 North American Dealer of the Year. Peterbilt cited the Larson Group’s growth in medium- and heavy-duty truck sales, parts and service growth as well as the addition of three new locations.

“The Larson Group Peterbilt is consistently one of our top performing dealers,” said Darrin Siver, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president. “Not only did they add three new dealerships, they added the first dedicated TRP parts store and were among the first dealerships to embrace Peterbilt’s Rapid Check expedited diagnostics program and the SmartLinq onboard diagnostic telematics technology.”

Butler, Penn.-based Hunter Peterbilt was named Peterbilt’s Medium-Duty Dealer of the Year. Hunter operates 17 dealerships in five states and in 2015 the company grew its year-over-year medium-duty sales and market share by more than 10%. The dealer was also recognized for its sales team’s unique solutions and support.

Winning the Paccar MX Engine Dealer of the Year was The Peterbilt Store. It operates 14 Peterbilt dealerships in six states and was recognized for its commitment to the MX engine through both sales and support.

Over 70% of all heavy-duty trucks sold by the Peterbilt Store were equipped with an MX engine and the dealer employs nearly 50 MX-certified technicians.

Peterbilt named the Allstate Peterbilt Group as its North American Parts and Service Dealer of the Year. Allstate Peterbilt operates 20 locations throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

“Extensive parts inventory, outstanding service facilities and skilled, factory-trained technicians – including Paccar MX engine certification – are but a few of the reasons Allstate Peterbilt Group received this prestigious award,” said David Danforth, Paccar parts general manager and Paccar vice president.

Martin’s Peterbilt was named TRP Dealer of the Year. Martin’s Peterbilt grew year-over-year sales of the all-makes, all-models TRP line of replacement parts by more than 20% for the third consecutive year, according to Peterbilt.

“Congratulations to Martin’s Peterbilt which has again demonstrated great commitment and contribution to the growth and support of the TRP product line,” said Danforth. “They excel at stocking, marketing and utilizing TRP parts to serve their customers.”

Peterbilt’s annual dealer meeting is a two-day business event that includes presentations and breakout sessions. It included focused overviews of the Paccar MX-11 engine and SmartLinq connected truck technology.

Peterbilt has more than 300 North American dealer locations for its lineup of on-highway, vocational, medium-duty and alternative fuel vehicles.
