Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America is recalling 9,456 2012-2015 model-year FEC52, FEC72, FEC92 and FGB72 trucks because their fuel return hoses might be damaged, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall covers trucks manufactured from April 8, 2011, to July 22, 2014. In these vehicles, a fuel return hose may have deteriorated after exposure to chemicals or lubricants. This condition might cause the hose to swell and detach, resulting in a fuel leak that poses a fire risk, NHTSA reported.

Dealers will inspect the fuel return hose and replace it with an improved one if needed. There will be no charge for this service.

Truck owners can reach MFTA customer service at (877) 711-0707. The truck manufacturer’s number for this recall is C1008210.
