CTA Elects Insurance Exec as San Francisco Chairman

The California Trucking Association has elected Owen Oakley as the chairman for the San Francisco Trucking Association.

Oakley is the vice president at independent insurance brokerage firm Heffernan Insurance Brokers and previously served as a Steering & Planning Committee representative for the association. His duties as chairman include overseeing membership growth and the overall success of the San Francisco Bay Area Unit. He is also tasked with maintaining financial resources to offer members continuing education and grow new initiatives.

"Our industry is changing at an alarming pace," said Oakley. "With technological and governmental changes, it's what we do right now as a team within our industry that will have ripple effects down the road.”

Oakley currently serves as the Transportation Practice Leader at Heffernan where he has gained experience in commercial transportation and trucking.

“I'm excited for the challenge to grow our membership to create a bigger voice in Sacramento and assist those who are so important to our economy,” said Oakley.
