Stemco, a manufacturer of heavy-duty components and solutions for commercial vehicles has reached a trademark license agreement with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

The TMLA gives Stemco the authority to continue using the Goodyear trademarks and brand names when marketing and selling the air springs product line that the company recently acquired.

“Continuing to use the brand name lets us maintain consistency and familiarity in the air springs market as the new supplier of these trusted products,” said Todd Anderson, president of Stemco. “We’re glad they are now part of the Stemco family.”

The acquisition included the manufacturer of Goodyear Air Springs for truck, trailer and truck cab suspension products as well as cab seat springs. All products will continue to be designed and manufactured in the same facility by the same personnel.

Stemco acquired the manufacturer of Goodyear Air Springs as well as Super Cushion and Spring Ride brands from ContiTech in July 2015. ContiTech is a division of Continental Corporation and the air springs business unit was part of the business unit called Veyance which was acquired by Continental in Jan. 2015.
