American Trucking Associations is seeking nominations for the ninth annual Mike Russell Trucking Industry Image Award.

The award honors trucking companies, state associations and suppliers who are creative in their approach to increasing positive awareness for the trucking industry. The award was named for the late Mike Russell, who as ATA vice president of public affairs was behind the public image campaign, “Good Stuff. Trucks Bring It.”

Submissions for the award are evaluated by a panel of impartial judges based on creativity, execution and impact. Winners will be announced in October at the ATA Management Conference & Exhibition in Philadelphia. The deadline for submissions is September 9.

“Our industry has taken great strides to improve our image," said Bill Graves, ATA president and CEO, noting the relatively recent addition of the industrywide Trucking Moves America Forward image movement to its continuing Share the Road and America’s Road Team programs. “The Mike Russell Trucking Industry Image Award recognizes people, companies and associations that go the extra mile to promote this industry that we are all so proud of.”
