Warranty Extended on Gunite Automatic Slack Adjusters

Accuride has extended the standard warranty coverage for its Gunite and Gunite 2000 range of automatic slack adjusters. The new warranties apply to Gunite ASAs manufactured on or after April 6, 2015.

The new extended warranties for the Gunite standard ASA and Gunite 2000 ASA will be for over-the-road and linehaul truck and trailers, bus and city delivery vehicles, and severe-service, waste and refuse vehicles. 

The warranty for OTR and linehaul trucks and trailers will be increased to 6 years and 1 million miles from 5 years and 500,000 miles. Bus and city delivery vehicles are increased to 4 years and 400,000 miles from 3 years and 300,000 miles. Severe-service, waste and refuse are increased to 3 years and 300,000 miles from 2 years and 200,000 miles.

“Our investment in automated, state-of-the-art slack adjuster assembly operations at our Rockford, Ill., facility has significantly improved the rigor of our quality processes for Gunite standard and Gunite 2000 ASA components,” said Scott Hazlett, Accuride senior vice president of operations. “As a result we are passing along the confidence to our customers by increasing the warranty coverage on these products.”

Accuride is a supplier of components to the North American commercial vehicle industry. The company’s products include wheel-end components and assemblies, specialty cast-iron components for a range of agricultural, construction, mining, and oil and gas equipment applications.
