Ford will launch a comprehensive marketing campaign for its aluminum-body 2015 F-150 pickup during the first-ever college football playoff on New Year's Day with TV commercials, Web episodes, radio ads, event marketing, and a mobile device campaign.
The campaign coincides with the redesigned truck's arrival at Ford dealer lots and is "tailored to reach truck customers where they spend much more time than the average consumer," according to a Ford release.
The multi-platform marketing campaign will also reach out to platforms such as professional bull riding, country music, and smartphones.
Ford has redesigned the F-150 with an aluminum body that reduces as much as 700 pounds of weight and has achieved an EPA-rated fuel economy of 26 mpg highway amd 19 mpg city.
