Accuride Corporation successfully reached a new four-year collective bargaining agreement with the union at its Rockford Operations facility in Rockford, Ill. The accord gives Accuride long-term agreements with all four U.S. and Canadian union represented operations.

The facility was represented by the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, Local 718. The union represents 291 hourly employees at the Rockford facility which produces Gunite-brand brake drums, hubs and other wheel end components for heavy duty and medium duty trucks.

“Accuride greatly appreciates our Rockford associates’ commitment to creating an industry-leading, globally competitive facility,” said Rick Dauch, president and CEO of Accuride. “This new agreement ensures that customers can rely on the dependable supply of world-class products from Gunite.”

The new CBA is retroactive to Nov. 18, and is effective through March 25, 2019. It follows other successful union negotiations with the Canadian Auto Workers in March 2013, the U.S. Steelworkers in November 2013, and the United Auto Workers in May 2014.

“This shared achievement underscores the talent and dedication of our Rockford team and follows Accuride’s three-year, $61 million investment – that is enabling them to achieve world-class quality and operating performance,” said Dauch.
