A tough critic of the California Air Resources Board and its policies over its regulation of diesel emissions, who was fired from his job at a California university, is finally getting his day in court this coming November.

Epidemiologist James Enstrom is suing the University of California at Los Angeles over his 2010 firing, claiming he was wrongly terminated because his views and research showed the air quality board was using bad science in justifying regulations over diesel emissions.

Enstrom also exposed CARB’s Hein Tran for falsifying academic credentials. Tran authored a report involving particulate matter and early deaths that was endorsed by the board. He later admitted he got his degree from a diploma mill.
