The Transportation Security Administration says it is upgrading its technology to improve reliability, expand capabilities, meaning some specific TWIC card services will be temporarily unavailable.

Services for card transfers, card replacements and extended expiration date will be unavailable from April 22 through May 4.

Card pick-up, activation and personal identification number resets will be unavailable from April 26 through May 4

The TSA advises if a card is ready for pick up and activation, or needs to have a PIN reset, please consider visiting the designated Universal Enrollment Services enrollment center for activation by April 25 or after May 4.

During this time the agency stresses enrollment sites will be open.
