Just released figures show deliveries from the Volvo Group’s truck operations in November 2013 amounted to 20,356 vehicles. This is an increase of 16% compared to the same time a year ago.

12,332 Volvo brand trucks were delivered worldwide, an increase of 31% compared with the same month last year.

In Europe 5,323 were delivered during November, up by 39% compared with November 2012. The company says production currently hampered by parallel production of both old and new generations of trucks. An extensive product renewal is under way with five new truck models; Volvo FH, Volvo FM, Volvo FMX, Volvo FE and Volvo FL.

Volvo says first quarter production rates in Europe will be adjusted to reflect lower demand, which is a consequence of customers having pre-bought trucks ahead of a more stringent emission regulation coming into force the first of next year

November deliveries in North America increased 17% to 2,630 vehicles in comparison with the same period last year while deliveries in South America increased 57% to 2,689 trucks compared with November 2012.

November deliveries of Mack trucks worldwide were on a similar level as last year and reached 1,718 trucks while UD Trucks delivered 1,737 trucks worldwide, a decrease of 1% compared to November last year.
