A House committee is considering holding a hearing on the truck driver hours-of-service rule in November.

“Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration hours-of-service regulations are very important to the House Small Business Committee,” said committee spokesman DJ Jordan in response to an email query.

“We are considering holding a hearing on the impact on transportation small businesses in November, although nothing has been finalized.”

The tentative date for the hearing would be Nov. 21, sources said.

The Small Business Committee last looked at trucking in July 2012, when it held hearings to air industry concerns about the agency’s CSA program.
