As the city of Baltimore gears up for the 2013 Baltimore Grand Prix taking place this weekend, the Maryland Transportation Authority and the Maryland State Highway Administration are reminding drivers to anticipate delays.

The Grand Prix will take place Friday through Sunday. Event related traffic, coupled with the more than 452,000 vehicles anticipated to travel the Fort McHenry Tunnel along Interstate 95 over the holiday weekend, will result in delays along the I-95 corridor.

The heaviest traffic volumes are expected Thursday and Friday between 8 a.m. and noon and on Sunday evening.

The state DOT says Commercial vehicles making deliveries into the Downtown/Inner Harbor area should contact Baltimore City or the Grand Prix team.
