The closing keynote address at the 2013 Green Fleet Conference Oct. 2 in Phoenix will focus on grants and funding to help subsidize green fleet initiatives.

Richard Battersby will deliver the closing keynote address on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 4:25 p.m. Battersby was named 2013 Public Sector Fleet Manager of the year by HDT sister publication Government Fleet.

He is the director of fleet services at University of California, Davis, and is Coordinator of the East Bay Clean Cities Coalition. He has more than 25 years in the fleet industry and has written and participated in numerous state, local and federal grant funded projects.

His address, "Latest Opportunities for DOE and EPA Grants and Funding," will discuss pulling public funding from the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency to help subsidize green fleet initiatives.

The Green Fleet Conference & Expo offers two full days of keynote presentations, workshops, seminars, and panel discussions tailored for fleet professionals who integrate an environmentally friendly component into their operations. A special heavy-duty truck track will offer sessions on topics such as natural gas and auxiliary power units.
