Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. opened a new container drayage facility that will serve rail heads, container yards and ports in the Birmingham, Ala., area.
The Birmingham Container Drayage Operation – the third container drayage facility Old Dominion has opened in Alabama – will offer pick-up and delivery to any point in the continental United States.
OD’s container drayage division has experienced strong growth over the past two years, including a 21.5% increase in container drayage shipments in 2012 and a 19% increase in 2011.
