Old Dominion Freight Line  opened a new service center in Salinas, California, to accommodate increased demand in California’s Central Coast region as well as relocated its Des Moines, Iowa Service Center to a facility more than twice the size of its previous service center.

Strategically located along Interstate 101, the 10-door Salinas Service Center has eight employees.

The facility’s service area includes Salinas, Gilroy, Hollister, Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Seaside, Monterey, Carmel, Carmel Valley and King City.

The relocation for the Des Moines Service Center is an important regional hub for Old Dominion due to its central geographic location. The facility moves a large volume of freight traveling along east-west Interstate 80 and north-south Interstate 35 – both of which intersect in Des Moines.

The service center’s service area spans most of central Iowa, including Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Ames, Boone, Fort Dodge, Marshalltown, Newton, Pella, Oskaloosa, Fairfield and Creston.
