If the weather cooperates, the Missouri Department of Transportation plans to close all lanes of Interstate 64 in St. Louis between Kings Highway and Forest Park Parkway Friday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. until 3 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28.

While the interstate is closed, crews will remove two bridges that carry traffic above the interstate.

Commercial drivers are encouraged to use I-44 if possible.

A second alternate, I-70, is also home to a large work zone at the Missouri River between St. Louis and St. Charles. Drivers who choose to use I-70 are urged to loop around the Blanchette Bridge work zone by using I-270 to Missouri 370 to I-70 and vice versa.
