Two more motor carriers from Mexico have received operating authority to participate in the cross-border pilot program.

GCC Tranpsortes SA de CV, a subsidiary of the multi-national Mexican-owned, Mexican-domiciled Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua received the green light this past week.

GCC will operate eight trucks and eight drivers in the program. GCC Transportes parent company is one of the worlds largest cement manufacturers with plants and facilities worldwide.

Transportes Tranportes Monteblanco SA de CV also was approved. It will have two trucks and four drivers in the program.

These two carriers will be given credit for participation in the 2007 cross border demonstration program and will be granted permanent operating authority sooner than usual.
