From local watermelon deliveries with a Model T in 1927 to the storage and cross-country transportation of hazmat materials via Volvo tractors in 2012, New Jersey-based Hermann Services has been in the logistics business for the long haul.

Now in its fourth generation of family ownership and operation, Hermann Services has many family members in all departments including; leasing, transportation, warehousing, maintenance, logistics, and finance.

"It is the commitment and hard work of employees that have helped spur company growth over the years," says Dennis W. Hermann, president, Hermann Transportation. "More than our equipment and facilities, it is the drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, logistics professionals, and warehouse and office personnel who are the company's greatest asset."

Looking forward, Hermann Services is prepared to accept new business that is returning or entering the logistics industry. The leasing division has acquired smaller regional businesses to extend the company's service areas throughout the I-95 corridor.
