Polar Tank Trailer named Mike McCall director of quality and continuous improvement. He is responsible for the development and execution of quality-management activities at all three of the company's manufacturing plants.


McCall has 23 years of management experience in heavy-duty and automotive component manufacturing. He most recently was vice president of operations at Sy-Klone International in Jacksonville, Fla.

McCall is based at Polar Tank Trailer's plant in Springfield, Mo. He holds a masters degree in industrial technology from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.

"At a time of great demand for tank trailers, Mike's objective is to ensure that we meet the quality and delivery standards our customers expect," says Jim Painter, president of Polar Tank Trailer. "He will move the organization to a higher level of quality and cost effectiveness."

A division of Polar Corporation, Polar Tank Trailer designs and builds custom tank trailers for dry and liquid bulk cargoes including oil and fuel, food products, asphalt, chemicals and corrosives. It has plants in Opole and Holdingford, Minn., and Springfield, Mo.
