The North American Truck Stop Network and Professional Transportation Partners, LLC have announced the rollout of Over the Road and Local fuel cards program for its members. Fleet One is the processor for this new program.

NATSN says this new fuel card program will offer fleets a choice of fuel brands, food and amenities at over 250 locations and service facilities.

"By joining forces with PTP and Fleet One we can offer our members one of the lowest fees available to the independent truck stop operator along with a "zero fee" to the truck company when operating in the network," explained Marsha Bird, CEO of NATSN. "Our organizations make no money from this program. We did this as our way of helping our members increase their fueling business while decreasing their transaction fees."

"We, PTP and NATSN, decided that our members needed an alternative fuel card for trucking companies that comes at a reasonable cost," stated Burt Newman Jr., president of PTP. "With the recent merger between two of the nations' largest chains and the resulting fee change of its fuel card, we knew that our members needed some alternatives."

Program benefits include:

* No transaction fee to trucking company when fuel is purchased at any NATSN or PTP truck stop. $2 fee for purchases outside of the network.
* A minimum discount of 2 cents per gallon earned with each fuel purchase.
* Password-protected Internet access to card purchase information.
* Daily invoicing with 7-day terms on the Over the Road card and weekly or monthly invoicing with 14-day terms on the Local card.
