Melton Truck Lines has placed a 300-truck order with Kenworth, on top of recent orders of 200 trailers from Utility and Great Dane.
The truck order will replace 200 older power units and add 100 new trucks to the fleet, bringing the fleet size to just over 900 trucks by the end of 2011.

"We remain confident in a gradual recovery in the U.S. manufacturing economy," said Bob Peterson, president of the Tulsa, OK-based flatbed carrier. "We also want to keep our drivers in the safest and most modern equipment available."
